In-Kyung Kim wins the Ricoh Womens British Open Golf at Kingsbarns

Kingsbarns was the glorious setting for the 2017 Ricoh Women’s British Open golf championship between August 3rd and 7th. Big names like Michelle Wie and Laura Davies put in strong performances. The weather was mixed bringing out the talents of the string of heart. However by the final day Korea’s In-Kyung Kim had the luxury of starting with a 6 shot lead. She held her nerve and won by 2 shots despite a strong challenge from Jodi Ewart Shadoff!

“I feel uplifted and say that because I didn’t expect to win this week,” she said. “I didn’t really have any expectations. I had one of my best warm-ups of the week, so that gave me quiet confidence. But the wind was blowing differently, and I wasn’t hitting the ball as close. I didn’t have many makeable putts, but I think as well as I could with what I had today, I think.”
